"Most profound...was discovering that the anchor she had been clinging to so tightly also yielded the rope that bound her feet to the floor. In what appeared to be a desperate loss of security....the cord was cut revealing her defining truth. She had wings...and was always intended to fly...

  • I believe that 2012 will be all about efficient energy management, moving with the flow of life rather than against it. If we want to move toward higher vibratory states of consciousness, we must be vigilant in our practices now more than ever. This takes courage and commitment.  This also takes trust.  As we do the work and connect more consistently with our higher selves, we must trust beyond our five sensory modalities and feel our truths.  Separating truth from illusion will be a difficult challenge and we will need all the help we can get.  If you are seeking to become more enlightened, I would strongly recommend that you adopt all or many of the practices that I have outlined below. Through my path of self-discovery over the last 15 months, I have experienced significant personal development by incorporating all of these tools into my life.

Meditation-  I would strongly recommend Leslie Temple-Thurston’s guided meditations (http://www.corelight.org/store/index.php/audio/guided-meditations.html). The energy that Leslie has infused into her audio files is incredible. Her meditations have offered me significant opportunity to move into Samadhi or oneness by releasing my mind and connecting energetically with my subtle bodies.  Meditation among other things helps to clear negative vibrations, subsequently raising your vibratory frequency and allowing you to hold higher states of awareness. If you do one thing from this list, daily meditation is the single most powerful tool that you can utilize in your life.

Processing work – The nature of processing work is to take what I call the “charges” that create disturbances in our energy bodies and make them conscious. Charges refer to those interactions that create an emotional reaction for you. Eventually through processing work, we can take away the emotional charges and limit our reactivity. Processing work can be as simple as journaling your daily experiences and bringing your limiting patterns and beliefs to conscious awareness.  You can take things a step further by using a processing technique developed by Leslie Temple-Thurston called Squares Processing (http://inspiredideas.me/services/squares/).  This technique is a proactive approach that allows you to bring into balance all of your dualistic tendencies so that you don’t have to act them out in real life.

Journaling- I recommend that you purchase a separate moleskin journal for both processing and Squares Processing work.  Date each entry and remember to be brutally honest with yourself. Take a look at experiences from previous days that created emotional reactivity for you and then write down your honest ‘feelings’ of what occurred.  Getting your feelings on paper helps to ground them in your 3D reality and make them conscious.

Yoga/Exercise- Yoga is an integral part to quieting the mind and keeping the physical body flexible. I have often found when someone’s physical body is inflexible; usually their mind is too.  If you can’t afford a practice outside the home, then set aside time every day to do some basic stretching or buy a yoga video.  Practice yoga at least 3 times a week.  In addition to yoga, stay active. The key in my view is to do physical activities that you love.  If you can do them outside, all the better.  Remember though not to set goals that are unrealistic. This can often lead to perceived failure and take you further off course.

Detox Your Body- Get the sugar, alcohol, caffeine and processed foods out of your body.  Go for organic as much as possible and limit meats.  I was given this message from spirit about 2 years ago.  My understanding is that when our physical body is full of toxins, our perceptual awareness becomes distorted and our vibratory frequency diminishes.

Practice Gratitude/Release Negative Thoughts- Negative thoughts drain your energy and reduce your vibratory frequency.  By consciously choosing a practice of focusing on gratitude rather than negativity and judgment, you can hold energy much easier in your body.  We are constantly being bombarded with negative thoughts and energy, which moves into our energy fields and drains our system. That is why it is critical to practice impeccability in our thoughts, words and deeds.

Clutter Clearing- Clutter impacts your mental, emotional, spiritual and physical bodies.  Unfinished tasks are considered to be a huge stress inducer.  Excessive clutter whether it’s toxic emotions, negative thoughts, unpaid bills, electronic overload, or excessive amounts of physical debris in our homes can cause a loss of energy.  Make it a practice to de-clutter.  If you want to get a good start for 2012, consider signing up for one of Denise Linn’s 28 Day Programs on my website under coaching services.

Selfless Giving- Heart-centered awareness is about giving from a place of unconditional love.  It is about offering help to another person without any expectations, conditions or agendas. I believe that a big part of 2012 and ascending consciousness on this planet will be about selfless giving.  Generosity is a way of telling the subconscious that you already have enough. “Giving is a rare and precious energy resource- the energy of connecting.”  ( Leslie Temple-Thurston, Selfless Giving)

Commune with Nature- Get outside, even if it’s cold out.  There are so many things affecting our inside environments that create static in our energy fields.  They are outside as well, but the plants and animals tend to offset the effects.  When you are feeling ungrounded, go hug a tree, walk near the water, or just sit and gaze.  Be one with nature and observe.  I often find it quite centering to watch the activity outside at my bird feeder.  If you are living in a place where you cannot readily access nature, then find a way to bring it indoors with nature CD’s, water fountains, plants or even a pet.

Impeccability- Impeccability is about coming into balance with energy output and input. It is about releasing emotions, mental attitudes, and habits that no longer serve and bringing more light into our lives to create that balance.  All of the practices that I have listed above are great ways to bring impeccability into your life and by extension manage your energy properly. Take some time in the next couple of weeks to access what’s working and what’s not.  Where are you stuck in your routines?  Where are you unfulfilled?  How can bring more balance into your life?
